Haunted Thoughts

I told you I could handle this
that I would never leave.
At the time I truly meant it
I really wanted to believe.

But as time has passed on
it has become clear to me.
Even when things seem to be easy
It is not always what you long for it to be.

I had my life figured out,
a career, Husband then kids.
But you came into my life rearranging all my wants,
turning my life into this.

    welcome back.

    Life is full of temptations and can be unpredictable. This poem reflects this. A life that seems sorted then, Wham! It turns on its head. Exciting and at the same time, an unsettling place to be. It's high risk playing with fire.
