Awake

Scores of endless anxious crashing waves
Leaving me totally paralysed
Gasping for breath
I feel like I am drowning inland

I have no words
Just a void filling with sickening terror
Nothingness & fear
Tears that are trapped behind my eyes

People scare me again
Global pandemic
Nuclear events
All my old fears, in this waking nightmare
