Jim- Two Days Later

He's an animal lover
gentle and kind, and in
his own little world he
cares for them.

"Jim- There's a mouse in the house"

Two days later-
I find little bits of cheese
and snacks in a small corner
of the room, no traps just snacks
with a small warm blanket.

"Jim- The squirrel is trying to get in the window!"
I'll take care of him honey- he sighs.

Two days later-
peanuts on the window sill.

"Jim- A stray cat is at our door"

I still think this is cute. I like animals, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't encourage the rodents. I do love how you've set this poem up. It's funny and heartwarming that a man (usually unemotional) would go to these lengths to help nature. The interesting thing is this, are you asking Jim to help you, or help the animals? Knowing you, the latter.
    Nice work, Andrea. X
