I was not familiar with the title so I looked it up:

It literally means "crushing", a term used to refer to the process of breaking an elephant's spirit (usually when they're young), taming them for domestication by using cage restrictions; sometimes with corporal punishment and negative reinforcement so that they can be trained for tourist activities. Also called elephant crushing. Training crush. This is horrible. Heartbreaking. I learn a lot from reading your poems.
