I'm Back

There used to be so much sorrow behind these eyes,
a lonely girl passing away into the inviting black -
melted by the silence.

Without her destiny,
the broken emptiness had her falling into the shadows.
Sh used to hide away, further beyond poetry,
gladly sharing her smile which her pen knew was entirely false.

Her eyes were slowly closing,
her breathing almost faint...

...

...but never in my life
would I just give up,
allowing someone else to ever believe
that my death could have been
because of the evilness they hold.

Never would I allow a monster to hold the power
of putting out the sparkle behind these eyes...

...

...the sparkle that I know will always be found!
