Yearning Roses

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 1, 2021

A quiet jewel.
A girl without a scream.
A girl they wished for.

A quiet jewel who has been lulled
into false values and fake beliefs,
weeps silently into her sleeve;
she has been trained to keep it all in
because everyone is always watching her.

A girl without a scream;
no powerful voice to testify
about the secret story in her eyes.
Softness beats within the meaningless whispers
of her pleas for mercy,
but she knows her desperate whispers
are beyond reaching such terrible people.

A girl they wished for; so low in self esteem,
she feels she deserves everything they give her.
She remains unworthy in her head,
knowing there is a long way home
to who she used to be.

A quiet jewel.
A girl without a scream.
A girl they wished for.

Isn't it a pity that those terrible people
failed to see the yearning rose
inside each and every quiet one!

For that is the biggest bouquet of roses
that will one day prick their soulless bodies
until they bleed out with remorse.

It is the quiet ones that you should watch!
