Next In Line

by Laurel S   Jul 13, 2004

Theres a girl living across the street
Whom I never made and efort to even meet.
Shes a pretty girl with a scare on her face.
Which time seems not to erase.
Sometimes i hear screaming at the dead of night
Of it i think nothing and turn out the light.

Shes the next in line
she hasn't had enough time
She can't fight for herself
she needs somebody else
(I'll help)

I walk over and knock on the door
I can hear creaking on their floor.
The little girl, stands in the doorway
and I can find, nothing to say.
Please little girl let me take your hand.
Because your abuse, is something i just can't stand.
I don't want you to go away
Please not today.
Please little girl tell me through the tears
I'll come and take away every fear.
I am your angel up from above
Where everything and everyone is filled with love.

Note:This is fiction, I just wanted to write about a little girl who got abused because I know it happens and I want people to be aware and try to help.
