The Secret Life

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 3, 2021

His touch was like a siren that rang alarm bells from the start.
His secret surprises becoming more suspicious
with every lie he tried to tie around them.

When you've been victimised,
it's like you believe they are a mind-reader,
even though your brain feels like a misty canvas
of a life that has been shattered like glass beneath snow,
you believe that they can always look right into your soul.

It was very easy got hi to imagine me lost,
perhaps aiming to make me feel as lonely as he was,
but when you are a victim of things beyond your control,
becoming weak is not a shameful thing.
Sometimes, you can only become as weak as them,
before realising that this can only make you stronger -
stronger than they could ever be!

When you feel like a victim of the secret life,
remember it is them who have no soul,
so do not let life pass you by,
afraid of touching it's time.

I will never be as lonely as him,
for I have grabbed my life and reclaimed it as mine!
Give them back their secret of black,
let them lead the secret life as you get back on track!
