This is something I'm sure all of us felt, and you described it so well, that loss of spirit. Right now, knowing that family and friends are safe and healthy means the most, even if we're distant. One can only look forward to the future and hope that, even if we're still cautious with the holidays to come, that there will be some relief and hope in knowing more about where we all stand with the virus.
