Oh Poetry,

by Everlasting   Jan 28, 2021

Oh poetry, my old friend

It seems as if
the years are athletes in the olympics
fast too fast
running on my skin
leaving wrinkles as they hurdle
through the stages of my life

Oh Poetry, my old friend

It as if
I’m a track full of spectators
cheering, booing
as these years compete towards the finishing line-
Death

And I, have no say...

my old friend
