This idea came to mind, of being with someone you’re unhappy with and having this faceless character in your dreams that shows you how you should be treated. |

This is great stuff, Kate, and your informative footnote had me singing along to this poem/song as I read! |

Thank you! |
I missed your writings, Kate! Right away, this read like lyrics (before I read your comment) and reminded me of a Taylor Swift song with a different ending, her choosing herself. Reminiscent of her older songs like Love Story but also making me think of her two more recent albums and the depth in processing emotions. That it's not all a fairytale. And I think that's important. Sometimes we don't have the answers or a reason for walking away from a relationship, but we know when something is not quite right. And it's like trying to fit together two pieces that aren't reciprocating, that are not able to be themselves. I also got the sense here that you were maybe molding yourself into something you weren't, unable to just be who you are or start that discovery. Then the pressure of trying to stay with someone and continue making it work when it shouldn't require that much effort and strife on your part. |

I love the whole faceless, nameless love. You know what you need. Maybe faceless romeo is you, and your identity is ready to be established? Beautiful words. Bless you |
