To God with pain

by Shah   Mar 5, 2021

My God I have taken all you gave
Despite the pain I try to be brave

My Lord I'm not trying to complain
But sometimes I can't bear the pain

Whatever you put on my way I take
All the sufferings I take for your sake

Been hurt and stabbed in a bad way
Months passed but still feel it today

From my past what I can recall
One by one they have hurt me all

Family, friends and the one I gave my heart
All have hurt me and one tore me apart

Not a single day I have been in peace
This suffering doesn't want to cease

Oh God if I haven't been loyal and pure
Then put all the blame on me for sure

My bleeding heart and scattered soul
And all the tears which I can't control

Are witness of the pain I do endure
Such a pain for which there is no cure

Just a bit of happiness I went for
A bit of love, asked for nothing more

Felt the luckiest man in the universe
Now feels like I was caught by a curse

My Lord I truly believe you did give
This love to me and for it I used to live

Now your Divine order came to take it
I didn't deserve it, maybe I was the misfit

My Lord all the pieces of me which are left
My heart, soul and body which failed the test

I do present in your Divine Highness
And lower my head out of shyness

My God I am so broken that I can't take
The pain that comes with this heartache

My tears this night are testifying again
And you know it, I don't have to explain

My Lord still I do not whine or complain
Even when my life and love went in vain

When there is none to collect my pieces
Day by day the desire to live decreases

I shall wait for the angel of death to take
My soul and finally I will be able to forsake

Oh Lord that time I won't complain at all
It will be my fate whatever will befall

Oh God with pain but without any protest
It feels like I'm useless and my life is a jest

Oh Lord forgive me if I said something wrong
Wanted to say I'm hurt but it became a bit long

When focused on the divine spirit, beauty resonates on a whole new level of powerful poetry in my opinion. This is heart gripping and pure from the heart and soul. You even managed to bring some powerful rhyming couplets within this poem. Shah, you are pouring your heart and soul into these and I thank you for sharing them with us. Not a dry eye from me when I read this, very touching piece !
