Isn't it time we said our byes,
Am prepared to do so and suppress my cries.
The laughter the chatter all around dies,
Deep within me the yearning still lies.
You broke the walls and ushered in the light,
As I resisted the act with all my might.
Initially the change gave me a fright,
But life turned for the better, nice and bright.
Can I, should I, the questions I pose
As my mind shrinks like a wilted rose.
Unable to adjust without my daily dose
Afraid of the happiness that I may lose.
