The day a man kneels down to listen up
And hears the heart of Mother Earth alive
It’ll be the day his mind will truly breakup
His tears will flow onto dirt terrified
The grass will flourish green to hug him tight
As butterflies reach out to lift him high
And curious hummingbirds stop their flight
As fish that fly attempt to bring him nigh
To calm his troubled mind with water cold
Yet all this man will hear will be a heart
A beat, a pump while knelt on grass with mold
His soul, and mind, and heart will be apart
But Mother Earth will tell him he’ll be fine
She’ll say “we are one, all of us combine.”
