He remembered hearing a song coming from the distance.
He recalled he had always heard the song, though he realized the song sounded like his voice.
So he asked himself: how come this song this sound of mine is coming from the distance, from other side?
He wondered if it were an echo. Though he knew echoes are always almost instantaneous
but he was confident he was not singing at the time.
He said to himself: Maybe my voice had hit the rock face so far back in time, and now it is returning back to me.
He paid more attention to the words: they didn't sound like any song that he had ever sung, though he recognized it was the song that he was going to sing.
