under the moon (napowrimo 2021: day 15)

by prasanna   Apr 17, 2021

the moon hollows itself out under
the cover of clouds, as one weary
owl hoots as dusk falls.

the stars seize their chance to
reign over an abandoned sky –

the fireflies already
took the crown.

Luce's prompt: at dusk, the owl hoots and the moon hides behind a cloud
