My Friends

by Cantchangeme   Jul 14, 2004

My friend, my friend
Sit down and rest your bones
Why are you so depressed?
You’re yet to find your home
Is it because of your loneliness?

Am I the only one?
Who grieves for an enemy?
Am I not me
When you aren’t you
What the hell have I got to be?

My friends, my friends
My friends are all depressed
They say it’s all about their loneliness
You know that I will be there
To help you through this emptiness

I love all of you
Don’t let life get you down
Sometimes it does
And your left staring at the ground

Your whole life changes
And it’s left flashing before your eyes
Blood runs down your cheek
And now you’re staring up to the skies
Your hearts been ripped open
And it’s been left on the floor to bleed
You turn to the razor blade
Slit your wrists as blood forms on your sleeve
So you they’re bleeding
You clasp your hands and ask why to the above
You ask it why
Because all you ever wanted was love

But even if I did
I’d still be by your side
And you know I would

I know that everybody gets depressed
But you’re not by yourself with it
I’ll be there with you my friend
So never worry about your loneliness

Don’t listen to them
Peace and love can exist
All they need is you

My friend, my friends
You’ve saved my life a million times
So I’ll still be by your side
Because I love all of you
And I couldn’t live without you
