Ocean roads wind and twist
and promise you a taste of
the lives you could have had

if only your family had a little more
faith or a bit better standing and
I know the world is losing its mind
and we’re always fighting over what

everyone else seems to have
that we don’t but honestly
it’s more the fault of these

curving ocean roads
than any of us humans,
right?
