Absence

by Monik Smith   May 5, 2021

I like to be left alone
But when people don't notice I'm
absent
It hurts
And I know its my own fault
For becoming invisible
For isolating myself
But just once I want someone to
notice
To truly notice and to honestly care

In life we initially learn how to care/ love through our parental figures. If this love is less than unconditional, then we find ourselves looking for affirmation elsewhere. The truth is, the most important affirmation is for the self. Once you achieve this, you'll find that you care about you and anything else is a bonus. Welcome to the site. We do care, but as Keira and Bob allude, you have to search yourself and/or find faith in a higher purpose.

Take care, life is a journey.

Sometimes it feels like no one cares, but they often do. Sometimes it feels like you have no one to turn to, and you'd rather be alone. A lot of the time, it's best just to help yourself out of the bad situation you're in, because then we don't have to worry about upsetting other people. Good poem, Hope things feel better soon :)

    Very nice

You might as well learn the rule of the game.
My mentor once tolled me:: "nobody cares!!"

They pretend they care, sometime they even do for a while but soon they find a reason, the same old reason that always was there, to not care.

So one must either confine her/himself to those little islands of care, or find the higher solution and connect with something spiritual and authentic, which last forever.

    Welcome to the site.
