Revival

by Michael   May 10, 2021

It was difficult to
seek you in the dark

but I found you curled up like
a ball sleeping among the stars

exhausted and
left for dead

I carefully unzipped the
back of your charcoaled
dress and brushed
the ashes from your hair

I saved some clouds for a rainy day
and used them to dress your wounds
where you kept seeds buried deep

and now we wait with hope
that the sun will return
from a distant memory

bringing a kiss
of life back
into your
heart

This is just, wow. As Michael said it's sad and very very personal but you did it so delicately and it's makes one's hamesrt ache.
    Take care,

Though sad and I'm sure deeply personal, you have managed to pen this with a delicate sensitivity that does credit to you and their memory.
    Take care.
