Mr. Darcy (Sestina)

When poets need a helping hand,
you’ll see that Mister Darcy stands
so proud beside them with a plan.
He is an empathetic man
whose humor often brings delight.
He is a star in the dark night.

For some, he is a coach at night
who always lends a helping hand
And does it with so much delight
With rhymes and meter, his verse stands
but often is freed by this man
who always comes up with a plan.

He thinks a lot for all his plans
I bet he does it too at night
He writes of love and war, but man!
I wonder, if he writes by hand?
And if, out of the blue, he stands
when verses greet him with delight?

To have met him is a delight
I am so sure this was Fate’s plan
Together, we, as Poets stand
Through days but also through the nights
just passing peace through hand through hand
I am so glad I’ve met this man

Though if you haven’t met this man
You might do one day with delight
His poetry go hand in hand
with thought and feeling as his plans
If you have time to spare at night
Just read him and see where he stands

It might just be that where he stands
Its tending wounds from a hurt man
or writing poetry at night
Or waiting for you with delight
Let him surprise us with his plans
For now, let us all just clap hands

If you can, stand up with delight,
for this one man that has a plan
to write at night with pen on hand

Hehe sorry, I’ve been trying to write a poem for Mr. Darcy but this is all I could come up with. I’m unsure if mr. Darcy writes with pen on hand or types like me. Lol
