In a dungeon bright and cheery Where my hopes and dreams all lay resting peacefully beside the Spun gold made of miller's hay Treasure's tempting and alluring Life's a frightful thing to lose But through haunted lies maturing For yourself you've formed a noose Tell a truth and none will listen Speak a lie and many hear And its venom spreads and glistens poisons friends and summons tears If you live your life in sorrow Store your love for better days You may find that on the morrow All you cared for turned to clay You may reach for, even grasp it Stretch existence to its last Plead with fate to delay justice... But you can't escape your past © Obscure 2021 (I did not edit this much at all, so I know that it could be improved. I hope you like it anyways!)
