The Final Feather ( Nonet)

by Maple Tree   Jun 9, 2021

Feathery elegance intertwines
as her song lays silent, unheard
a dying whisper, hushing
angels fade to demons
a speechless choir faints
hell hath plucked her
last feather,
one tear
falls.
