Conscience

You conceal your malevolence and greed
behind the edifice of benevolent deeds
and leave behind
an inverse horseshoe traces
to mislead.

But
your attention could never accede
that the one who you thought
must never notice your misdeeds,
owing to a camouflaged heed,
has already seen you
through and through indeed.
