Mammatus Clouds

by Star   Jun 21, 2021

It was the time when the universe hushed
and the horizon had offered the sky
honey dipped clouds, one last
glimmer before the sun takes her rest;

you gave up,

and that’s how the clouds served you

pain.

    One of the most image-filled shorter poems I've read. Mammatus clouds normally mean hail here. Love the way they look, but hate having to scramble to cover the car :/

    Wanted to nominate this, but there's no nominate button on the page. Someone might have already beaten me to it.

      Do they mean something else other than that? They do look really beautiful! Reminds me of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs lol.

      Nomination isnt open yet thats why, I appreciate the thought though. Thank you !!

      Lol well if they have a green hue to them it usually means hail. If they're just grey it usually means a storm with heavy rain. If they're orange from the sunset, it's the sun trolling saying "Ha! You gonna cover your car mate? Ah but you dunno if there's any green! Ah what to do, ay? Silly bugga."
