Really hope you haven't caught it, but, if you have, don't worry about it, you'll be up in no time and can carry on with re writing your destiny - it will do no trampling today! Lol.

Excellent, Em, but that is no surprise given your status as queen of the acrostic round these parts.
What I like about this poem is the anger and frustration that positively seeps through the whole of the piece. Firstly, you personify covid, giving this wretched disease a clear 'face' to punch square in the nose - at least, from a metaphorical/verbal point of view!
Now, I am cheating a little as I know a little of your past, but the root of your anger is clearer for that knowledge. You have already been through hell. you have trounced that particular evil in your life and kicked it into touch and just when you're ready to pick up the pieces and move on, destiny is 're-written' and you are 'trampled' on again.
All I would say is that - if you can beat that first evil individually - perhaps collectively, this one can be beaten too. Don't write that destiny off yet - perhaps it is nearer than you think. Nominated.

This is terrible news. We all have a responsibility to protect others from contracting covid. You certainly don't expect to catch it when you are being so careful. Fingers crossed you get well soon and have no lasting effects. Xx

It took me about a month to recover from Covid, and had some side effects for a while after, so just something to be aware of. Hang in there, you'll get through this!
