The night was warm but the rain was cold
Your eyes the color of obsidian stone
You pulled me in to you to dance
I said I’ve never moved like this before
But we made the pavement our dance floor
I fell in love with just a glance

We danced and danced around for hours
Getting soaked under July showers
Your hands rest gently on my waist
I smell your cologne mixed in with rain
If you’re gone tomorrow, memories remain
I knew this high I’d always chase

And when the clouds finally unloaded
The velvet night sky just exploded
Starlight witnessed our first kiss
You held my hand all the walk home
I knew from then, I’m never alone
I could get lost in a feeling like this

I felt as if I were there...so descriptive, I could picture from an outward glance. Beautifully written
