Anarchy In Arcadia

by cassie hughes   Jun 28, 2021

Fairyland is in an uproar,
The phoenix refuses to rise,
The pixies have taken to shooting
the butterflies out of the skies.

All of the elves have gone missing,
The leprechauns are playing dumb,
The dwarves have dug under the forest
And gone and got drunk on the rum

Nobody knows how it happened
but a troll has invaded The Glen,
And he’s holding the fairies to ransom,
They might never flitter again.

Gnomes have been goosing the brownies,
The mermaids have sunk without trace,
And even the sprites have stopped pranking,
It’s an unrecognisable place.

So what is the cause of the uproar?
There must be somebody to blame.
Well the wizards have been playing War Craft
And they think that it’s only a game.

Thank you so much Em. I just thought we could all do with a little silliness :)
