This is another excellent emotionally charged poem. Often times what attracts us to a person is their eyes because they pop. I believe we notice color more than anything else physically and I believe this is what your poem is about here. |

Somehow when i read this and then reflected on the title, it made me think of Prince Charming. I imagine a man who is full of charm, but is in fact what is hiding beneath this thin veil is a self-centered man who preys on the vulnerable. The fact that you saw in his green eyes a disturbing premonition was fortunate. I guess it was a sixth sense - i believe that those who have been abused time and time again gain a sense for those who shouldn't be trusted and once alarm bells chime, there is no trust again. |
