...it will be a while

by Meena Krish   Aug 3, 2021

Why do I miss you so
even though we're close at heart
our path layered with woes
and the stretch keeps us apart,

I rake through scattered words
which you chose to leave behind
pick out moments like a bird
whose wings to you are bind,

Counting the days to see your smile
and nights to play music of fire
but brown eyes know it will be a while
for us to consume unbridled desire

Spoken from the heart..a soft sadness and confused emotions to this poem.

Yet the ending evokes romantic notions of unbridled desire....yes please! :)

A beautifully pinned poem, so much in the poem is hidden between the lines and in the shadows of the words carefully chosen. You are a true poet Meena

I can't even begin to imagine being so far from the one closest to your heart, and just holding on until you can see them soon. A heartfelt, painful write Meena.
