Ravenous.

by Poet on the Piano   Aug 4, 2021

You spend my wages willfully, gleefully,
tasting the rotting flesh between my teeth

"you can't waste it, you can't waste me"

so I screech like an owl and
unhinge my soul;

I keep running into you,
in this world and the ones beyond.

I can't escape.
