Miscarriage Poem

by Abstract Poet   Aug 17, 2021

On July 31st my niece was having
Contractions in her stomach she felt
them and decided that it was nothing.

Then a few days later on August 2nd
things changed the pain got worse and
She started to bleed everywhere.

And she was talking to her husband
then she decided to go to the hospital
and took blood and ordered a sonogram.

To check on Scarlet they didn't think that
would be the last time they saw their baby
then later on the ER doctor came in and.

Sat down they instantly knew it was
bad news he told them that Scarlet was
measuring at 7 weeks and 3 days.

She would have been 10 weeks and 2 days
so she was too small he continued and told
them that she also no longer had a heartbeat.

Then her world completely stopped
Understatement she felt nothing but
sadness the doctor was still talking.

But she couldn't hear him she was numb
after what the doctor said then he made
An appointment with her doctor.

In 48 hours: August 4th to check her hormone
levels and pray for a miracle they didn't get
that miracle those levels are continuing.

To drop meaning that she is having a
Miscarriage and there is absolutely nothing
they can do to stop it, it breaks my heart.

That she's going through this and having
A miscarriage.
