Big Dipper

by Kate   Sep 13, 2021

I see the universe in the iris of your eyes
But the Big Dipper threatens to tip over
Cascading waterfalls over flushed cheeks
No wonder time’s not erased your memory
For I see you in every velvet night sky
And behind closed eyelids when I dream
It is when you cry that my heart truly hurts
My ground violently quaking in your agony
I wish to rid you of every demon and sorrow
And revive the universe in your eyes
So I can bask in their beauty once again

This is beautiful!! My man is my favorite person and this reminds me of the emotions I feel when his eyes are sad. Or when he's pacing because he's stressed. It is important for people to feel the emotions, to process them - but it's always such a joy when he's back after trying times
