Rats scrabble within these thin walls
What once was majestic now eaten alive
Like all things beauty is only fading
Fleeting and unstable like the failing eye
Wrenching hearts with crudely made tools
I remove that within which all desires fit
Like all that fly’s high soon will be fallen
Slipping silently between pendulum and pit
Illustrations of great beasts long forgotten
Stone etched by shaky hands and certain minds
Then a slips that sends dead men laughing
A perfect prologue to our era of divide and shine
