Orbit of Love - Sonnet

by Walter   Oct 6, 2021

I can only compare you, to the sun
With all memories, I still hold of you
Just like its beauty, you always would stun
I would absorb you, whenever in view

Began to rely, your warmth I would seek
With each moment next to me, you would glow
And just like the sun, each day of the week
Soon becoming, all the things that I know

But your seasons felt, so cold and so cruel
Behind a storm that you always would turn
And sometimes your heat, so fiery would fuel
That I could have no defence and would burn

Our love once circled, within this ellipse
But now since you've gone, a total eclipse
