Nature, you and fresh air

by Michael   Nov 7, 2021

I see beds of roses, flourishing from
the earth of your cheeks,
reflecting your reticent nature
buried deep in a soft blush

your hair flows like an autumnal waterfall
rivulets that twist hues of horse-chestnut
carmine and gold wavy strands that
stream down the sides of your finely tuned
bone structure, splashing on the
cliffs of your shoulders

such a
rufescent flavour

I lose myself in the infinite ocean of your eyes
where emerald isles are frozen
yet your piquant gaze always
makes my heart melt

and to your lips that are sealed
in an early spring blossom
like soft petals of red Gladioli
where your ageless kiss presses
against a pane of glass

a scene that captures
an unblemished moment
of you in time

I so wish I could open the
window...
