SERENITY (Acrostic).. first attempt at acrostic

by Wayne Gates   Nov 22, 2021

S_miling effortlessly on an overcrowded train

E_ven when knowing I'll soon be walking in the rain

R_eaching my car and chuckling that the sunroof was left open

E_njoying the humor of the moment and how I am coping

N_oticing how the air smells sweet after the rain stops falling

I_ntuitively flowing thru situations that once seemed daunting

T_his gift I've been given, accepting those things I can not change

Y_ears no longer fretting over conditions that can't be rearranged

A positive and inspiring breath of fresh air. Living in the moment and being grateful for what we have instead of what we want are recipes for serenity. A wise write. Milly x
