Whispers

My mouth started watering
That is 1 of 3 things
For awareness is taking over me

Nobody can tell what’s happening
My body isn’t wanting to accept these calories
They have been swallowed for the last time

From 1 to 2 things now perceived
I thought I heard couldn’t be
Her voice calling to me

Trying to hold it all together
Everyone is so at ease
I am ready scream

There was the voice again just softer
Right beside my left shoulder

Pondering if she is behind me
My knees shaking anxiously in disbelief
