She sleeps beside the bloody moon,
stars beneath her feet.
So much confusion lay beside her goodbye,
the burning vision of her body
consumed by pain she could never escape,
Everyone questioned her last words,
as they tried to look for a clue
that hinted towards her greeting of death.
Apology letters were left behind,
and even though she signed them,
no one could believe they were hers,
because how can a world be so blinded
to a smile that could hide that much pain?
