A seed of doubt

Never sow a seed of doubt,
For it may grow into a tree.
The negative thoughts will bloom,
And they will not let you be.

All your insecurities grow like leaves,
And that tree grows tall and wild.
As that tree grows you fade away,
And it's you that shrinks inside.

We all have our problems to face,
It's just the way things must be.
But I'll tell you this right here and now,
I'm ripping out that bloody tree.

For everyone who has ever felt self doubt, insecure, lonely or just plain messed up. I didn't get it.

    Hmm, you know, I like trees. There’s some that are really big and give us shade. There’s others that are really small and pretty. In my opinion, a seed of doubt it’s not bad. Letting that seed grow into a tree is not bad. What can be bad, it’s not taking care of it. You can always trim some portions of the tree (foliage) so you can get a better view. I mean, sometimes we are out in the open with our thoughts and there’s nothing to protect us from all the sunshine and it can also get debilitating. That seed of doubt can grow to give us shade. It’s really all about how you take care of it. If the seed of doubt it’s too huge, and obvious not helping you then definitely, it may need to be cut down. There’s some people who only have that seed of doubt. There’s people who lucky have an abundance of different seeds (trust, courage,faith,etc) and lots of space to plant them. Also lots of time to spend taking care of them. Anyways, I liked your poem. Thanks for sharing.

    Guys if you have issues please talk to someone. Everyone who writes or reads on this site is pretty smart. Sometimes though we are stupid.

    We write about what's wrong instead of talking about it. You don't need to talk about it here but please talk to someone.

    I always thought I was as hard faced as they come.

    I'm not and this week felled me just like that bloody tree is going to be
