Thy Friends Though Thy Foes

by BOB GALLO   Jan 10, 2022

They sing of thee
they worship thee on their knees
they preform the play of thy divinity distinctively
they put their love in pedestal
those whose heart is not crystal.

Those who unleash their lashes
at thy son where no one can see
they burn him to his ashes
in the curling burn of their lashes
and then cash in, from his scratches.

They do not treat thy blood with compassion and fair.
They tear him in night
and in day light pull their hair in their prayers
and wash their face in tears.

The offprint of their greed is all they see
for deep in heart
they are vengeful verses thee.

In the hides of their soul
they go after anything that has trace
of thy face
those who cast stone indirectly,
at not thee but at thy grace.
