Does anyone know my brain?
Do you know just what I feel?
Do you know the thoughts that run through this head?
Because some are fake and some are real.

Do you think I am adverse to things?
Do you think I am lacking empathy?
Well if this is what you think!
Well you really just don't know me!

You see I have been a traveler of sorts.
I've seen things you cannot fathom,
I've seen the blood of the unfortunates,
And my heart sink into a cavern.

I've seen the evil that men do,
And don't forget there were also women.
I've seen bodies that have been tortured,
And we all know that this is proven.

It's little wonder that my head takes a wobble sometimes.
Then I must just wind it back.
It's always been so hard to do on my own,
But then I found a path.

It was not a path of my choosing.
Just a simple thing that came to be.
By the writing of a letter or lots!
You became a part of me.

I know that I'm not perfect.
Yet I will always do the best I can.
Because you are my angel,
I am your earth bound man.

I guess what I am saying is that I,
Would just not know how to get along.
If my heart and brain did not hear.
Your beautiful sirens song.

You have welcomed me home for many years,
And that song was written down in words,
As a guy who writes all the time,
That song is both chorus and is verse.

Words can seem meaningless at times,
Some feel fake right from the start,
The ones that you can touch fade away,
But not the ones upon your heart.

So I do feel more complete right now!
Despite the tribulations of this life,
And I don't know where I would be right now,

If could not call you wife.
