Had to reread it a few times just because it was hard to take it in fully the first few read throughs. It’s nice when a simple poem can give a slightly different feeling with each reading. Good read, thank you.

Had to nominate this one! I especially love your word choice in this, like the use of "cradle" and the image of flowers blooming into their night gowns, a "pastel" night. There's a tenderness in this, and I am hesitant to say sadness, it's almost like a catharsis, in how I interpreted it? Almost like a passing of understanding, and I'm reminded of how times change and how we adapt, how we gently have to realize it. How, just like flowers bloom, we may grow and mature too, and our light may not even be fully recognized yet. Such a lovely piece with the imagery and even though I see it as a shorter poem, it still held so much meaning to it, in my eyes. I know you've been writing for NaPoWriMo, but curious to see if you'll come back and title this!
