Mercy

It never
occurred to me
that there is truth
in absurdity

It blurred
false clarity
when I found meaning
in beauty

Guided by empathy
I’ll try
not to
speak carelessly

I culled my ambition
and made a decision
to abandon
dull normalcy

I’m
thirsty
for
courtesy

An uncovered purpose decreed
that by bloom until seed
we always need
to cultivate harmony

My agoraphobic mentality
means
I leave my house
fearfully

Reassurance
comes naturally
when others
are friendly

I can’t face
the enormity
of pain
around me

I really do try
to not
harm
anything

Face
the
scorn
earnestly

Care
for
them
wordlessly

Care not
of their thoughts
about you or your clothes
or your hidden personality

There’s no way to be
completely understanding
Hurtful words
are just hyperbole

It won’t be
done perfectly
That is a
certainty
