Do not weep when I am gone, It is not chance but mine own choice, For I am weary of this life, Adventure calls and leads me on. Unknown before, forsook behind, A leap of hope though dwindled now, By fingers edge clutched as a straw, A breath then face the future blind. No, do not weep when I am gone, For who knows where my path now leads, To greener fields and summers haze, Or into darkness, dead and gone.
