Is it regarding the places I've seen
The faces I've met or the need
To be an adrenaline queen
Chasing down that soft green
Grass to soak up the sun like a fiend?
To push past these limits deemed
To keep me safe from those who intervene
And intertwine the lines between
Being a mom as a teen
And fulfilling all of my dreams?
Running on caffeine
Fuel for the societal machine
Because what other choice did I have?
