Good Morning

by Obscure   May 23, 2022

His fingertips curl
Tracing lightly over ivory
Then pull it closer, craving warmth
And ivory stirs

The morning light floats
Gently sweeping over half-closed eyes
Murmurs lost beneath the rustling
Linen tugged for warmth

The sunlight pauses
Glowing in a pink and yellow sky
To grant a wish shared by the two:
Let us stay a while

This was so comforting to read. Like a soft, gentle sigh. The little things like watching the sun rise, the coziness of fresh sheets, the presence of another... sometimes, that can be the best way to start our day! Lovely write :)
