Distant stars give little light to the dark, dark night,
When hopes and dreams take flight under Heaven's night.
Friendships are forever bound to eternal light,
And never take flight under Heaven's light,
But flourish in beauty and might.
Tender thoughts of a friend afar bring Heaven's light to my soul,
And thoughts of past poetic romance dance like fairies under Heaven's light.
Love runs deep I have found,
And cannot be undone once wound.
Heaven's light will always shine on distant friends,
And sweet thoughts of each will feed friendship's light,
And keep each other up at night thinking of moments together that were just right.
Distant stars can give much needed light to the dark dark night,
When hopes and dreams are held tight in friendship's light.
