Loves In The Air

by Walter   Aug 27, 2022

What can't be described
When she walks in the room
The first sensing of sight
And smell of perfume

Do you know the feeling
When love fills the air?
Or are moments like this
Becoming so rare?

You feel your heart beating
As slow motion is played
And watching her moving
As if on parade

Then catching her eye
Her smile which is greeted
You can't help smiling back
A motion repeated

Then taking small steps
Until eye to eye
Absorbed by her beauty
Which you can't deny

A moment of pause
When you hear her speaking
Introductions are made
In this unplanned meeting

And this brief encounter
In which two unite
It seems as if guided
By love at first sight

Some might not believe in
A passion so true
And maybe you think that
It won't happen to you

Then say it's just bliss
And will never last
But I know that this time
Is not just the past

Because even in moments
Which we do not plan
I share the same feelings
As when all this began

And now when she walks in
This time in my home
My eyes are still captured
Nor do they roam

No longer at first sight
But I can't help stare
The same feelings remaining
When loves in the air

A perfect explanation of enamor. It’s an overwhelming, comforting sense of love no matter the time, place or frequency of being with another person. Well written.
