I really like this - the lack of reluctance and hesitation to solely rely on money. Not realizing that even with all the proper investments, even with safeguarding, one can still face failure, in spite of all their success. It also makes me think of the different ways in which we value money. To some, money is the goal to achieve everything. To others, it's a necessity to live. It's not about luxury, but the way we have to work to live... versus the privilege of not having to worry how one spends their money. I also like the image of "In God We Trust", because it's everywhere here, and sometimes it's easy to forget it's printed on our money, it's always present, and it's an interesting commentary on if we give ourselves over to family or to a higher power or to helping other... or if we give ourselves to capitalism and being on top in the social hierarchy. |
